I am a young creator trained in design and interior architecture. My work is based on a particular interest in materials, textures and their combinations. I am developing an eye, a design and an aesthetic that combine raw and refined aspects.
A natural attachement to handmade work and craftsmanship guided me to my new project: learning traditional Malagasy skills during a research year in Madagascar, my home country...

- ONGOING PROJECT -

Craft skills from Madagascar:
Discovering traditions for application in contemporary creation.

My project is to spend a year in Madagascar, the country where I grew up and which has played an important role in the development of my artistic sensibilities and tastes. I want to rediscover the country's many craft skills through a new creative eye, one that I cultivated during my years of study.
The project is built around craft workshops in the city of Tananarive and its provinces. Visits to discover local know-how will be followed by a period of experimentation with techniques and materials.
These apprenticeships will form the basis of the design phase, which aims to create objects that reflect traditional Malagasy roots.
